How do I turn the phone on/off?

To power on, press and hold the power button on the right side of the phone.
To turn off, press and hold the power button. On release, the options will open. Select ‘Power off’ and confirm.

 

How do I adjust the volume?

Use the top and bottom ends of the volume button on the left side of the phone to raise or lower the volume.

*For model #D504P the volume buttons are on the right side above the power button.

 

Is there a manual?

All of our smartphone products come with a Quick Start Guide inside the package. A digital copy of the Quick Start Guide is also available on our website.

 

What is included with the phone?

All of our smartphone products are packaged with a user guide, a pair of ear buds for audio use, a screen protector, and the adapter with a detachable plug for computer connection.

 

How do I remove the back cover?

Make sure the device is turned off and the front facing down. Hold the device firmly and use the notch at the bottom corner to loosen the cover. Use material with a hard, thin edge such as your fingernail or a credit card to carefully run along the seam to loosen, then lift the cover until it detaches completely.

 

Can I use wi-fi?

Yes. All of our smartphone products has technology built-in to support connection to wireless networks.

 

How do I take a screenshot?

Press the power button and the bottom end of the volume button, “-“, at the same time to take a picture of the current screen. Photos will automatically be saved in the Gallery.

 

How do you charge the battery?

All of our smartphone products can be charged using the cable provided. Use the plug to charge via an electrical wall outlet or detach it and charge via USB while connected to the computer.

 

How do I find the supported carriers in US?

All of our smartphone products supports the most well-known US carriers such as AT&T, MetroPCs & T-Mobile USA. You may find the full available GSM carriers list here.

GENERAL INFORMATION

What is Android™?

Android is a mobile operating system owned by Google and is used by many electronics manufacturers as the system software on their devices.

 

Which version of Android OS is this?

Most of our smartphone products currently come with Android 4.2.2 JellyBean.

*Model #D504P operates on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat.

 

Where do I get apps?

It is recommended to use Google Play Store to obtain apps as Google checks for the safety and functionality of each app in its store. When you first access the Play Store, you will be prompted to use an existing Google account or to create one. This must be done at access all the features of your phone including app downloads and installation.

 

How do I add a Google account?

Accessing the Play Store for the first time will start this event. Follow the prompts to create or utilize your existing account. Touch on screen buttons to navigate between pages. Input using the keyboard which will appear when needed. If creating an account, take care to remember the details as the password will be needed for downloads etc.

 

Why do I need a Google account?

Android devices are supported by Google and an account is needed primarily for the use of the Play Store. The account is for your convenience as some apps downloaded from the Play Store and other functions connect to existing Google extensions or settings. Additionally, the search feature of the phone is also supported and maintained by Google.

WI-FI

How do I turn wi-fi on/off?

Access Settings from the apps menu. Slide the bar next to Wi-Fi to turn on or off; color and wording will indicate.Wi-Fi can also be accessed by swiping down then clicking the icon in the top right-hand corner to open shortcuts. Tap “Wi-Fi” to turn on or off.

 

How do I connect to a network? How do I use wi-fi?

Access Settings from the apps menu. Touch Wi-Fi to enter the menu. Touch the desired network info to bring up the access screen. If the network is secured, type in the password and/or additional information and press “Connect”.

* Connecting to unsecured networks is not recommended as doing so may make your personal information available to anyone else accessing that network.

 

What internet browser does the phone use?

All of our smartphone products comes with its own default browser but others such as Chrome or FireFox can be downloaded from the Play Store for your convenience. Some models may already have Chrome browser installed.

BLUETOOTH

Can I use Bluetooth?

Yes.

 

How do I turn Bluetooth on/off?

Access Settings from the apps menu. Slide the bar next to Bluetooth to turn on or off. Color and wording will indicate.

Bluetooth can also be accessed by swiping down then clicking the icon in the top right-hand corner to open shortcuts. Tap “Bluetooth” to turn on or off.

*To better preserve battery life, we recommend turning off Bluetooth when not in use.

 

How do I connect to Bluetooth?

Access Settings from the apps menu. Touch Bluetooth to enter the menu. To make your phone discoverable, make sure you have turned Bluetooth on and touch the phone name to make it visible for 120 seconds. Touch “Search for devices” to search then touch the name of the desired device to begin pairing. You will be asked to type a PIN before pairing. Refer to the manufacturer’s documentation of the devices for PIN code(s). Enter the PIN and press the appropriate buttons to continue.

 

How do I unpair from a Bluetooth device?

Access Settings from the apps menu. Touch Bluetooth to enter the menu. To disconnect or unpair with a device, touch and hold the device name to open the context menu. Select Disconnect or Unpair as appropriate.

BATTERY

How do I remove the battery?

Make sure your device is turned off then remove the back cover then lift the battery by the notch to remove.

 

How do I install/reinstall the battery?

Remove the back cover and align the battery’s exposed metal contacts with the battery connectors at the bottom of the compartment in the phone. Insert the battery, contacts side first, and gently push the battery into place. Battery should lie flat within the compartment or the phone may not operate properly. When finished, replace the back cover, pressing along sides to make sure the cover is fully in place. Connecting parts will snap audibly as the cover is pressed back into place.

 

How long will your phone battery last?

The battery lasts up to 5 hours talk time and 200 hours standby time. Talk time indicates a mode where you phone is relatively active e.g. during a call. However, battery life varies depending on how you use your phone. For example, high power tasks such as watching videos will consume more power than checking e-mails etc.

SIM CARDS

Is it 4G capable?

Yes, all of our smartphones support up to 4G HSPA+21 Mbps speed.

 

How do I insert a SIM card?

Make sure your device is turned off then remove the back cover. Remove the battery if installed. Locate the desired slot marked either 1 or 2 and insert the SIM card with gold contacts facing down and cut-off corner facing out. It will click into place.

What is the storage capacity?

Model #D502PB comes with 4GB internal storage and supports up to 32GB external memory slot.
Model #D504P comes with 16GB internal storage and supports up to 32GB external memory slot.
Model #D554P comes with 8GB internal storage and supports up to 32GB external memory slot.

 

Does the phone have an SD card slot?

Yes. All of our smartphones' available memory/storage can be supplemented with Micro SD cards up to 32GB.

 

How do I install a memory card?

Make sure your device is turned off then remove the back cover. Remove the battery if installed. With gold contacts facing down, insert the memory card. It will click into place.

For model# D502P, locate the memory card slot on the upper right part of the exposed panel.
For model# D502PB, locate the memory card slot on the center part of the exposed panel.
For model#D554P, Locate the memory card slot on the center part of the exposed panel.

 

What media file formats do the tablets support?

Our phones offer an extensive range of file support. Almost all music, video, and photo formats are supported by the installed Android OS or specific programs. If encountering a file type which does not function, the application may alert you to this and/or a possible application which may be installed to remedy the issue. Please refer to the spec sheets (available on the web site) for specific details on the supported formats.

 

How do I remove a memory card?

Make sure your device is turned off then remove the back cover. Remove the battery if installed. To remove a memory card, press it to eject it from the slot. It may click while dislodging from the device. Take care not to press too hard or the card may eject too quickly from the slot.

TROUBLESHOOTING

How do I reboot?

From any screen, press and hold the power button to bring up the power context menu. Select “Reboot” to initiate. This option functions as more of a soft reset and most minor issues will be solved by restarting.

 

How do I do factory reset?

Access Settings from the apps menu. Scroll down to “Backup & Reset” and tap the text to go into the category. Choose “Factory data reset” from Backup & Reset section. Please note this will remove all data from the phone and is not recommended as a remedy for minor issues.
